Installer series

The Installer series is built using standard Eurocard technology. Each Installer Eurocard normally contains up to 3 sub-cards which we call ‘Piglets’. System functionality can be further expanded by using Eurocards from our standard Eurocard range.

Please see our Eurocard & Piglet pages for specific functionality. We will be pleased to help you design a system to your requirements.

Installer 12 – 1U Rack box

BCD Audio – Installer 12 – 1U Rack box

Installer-12 enables a user to mix and match up to 12 Piglet modules within a single 1U enclosure, enabling a system builder to construct complex audio systems for a broadcast studio out of standard, easy to understand building blocks.

The 1U enclosure is self-powered and has a space for four Eurocards. A removable front panel allows the easy substitution of cards without removing the equipment or disconnecting the mains power.

Each Eurocard can be either an Installer Eurocard with space for three Piglets, or taken from some of the ‘Amplifier System’ range of cards.

Installer 4 – 1U Rack box

The Installer-4 was introduced in 2016  to replace the Installer-12 frame.

The Installer-4 mixes and matches up to 4 Eurocards or 12 Piglet modules within a single 1U enclosure, enabling a system builder to construct complex audio systems out of standard building blocks.

Dual universal mains power is standard.

The hot-pluggable Eurocards locate behind the clip-on cover plate.

  • Clip on front panel gives access to Eurocards and Piglets.
  • Dual IEC mains inlets to two standard universal IEC950 PSUs.
  • D37 D connectors to each Eurocard
  • Front panel LED indication for each PSU

The rack includes a standard power supply module and has space for an optional secondary power supply module. Each Eurocard can be either an Installer Eurocard with space for three Piglets or taken from some of the ‘Amplifier System’ range of cards.
