Vintage Equalizer

The BCD Audio Vintage Equalizer is a 1U rack-mounting unit comprising a high quality studio mic/line input amplifier combined with variable frequency high- and low-pass filters and a full facility four band equaliser which uses 1990's technology to reproduce the unmistakable sound of one of the great mixers of the early 1970's
The input amplifier has switchable 48V phantom power and phase reverse and up to 85dB of gain in the MIC condition via two continuously variable rotary controls. In the LINE condition, the MIC GAIN control becomes inoperative and the FINE GAIN control provides +/- 15dB of gain adjustment.
The filters are both 2nd order, providing 12 dB/octave attenuation from turnover frequencies continuously variable between 1200Hz to 15kHz (LPF) and 25 Hz to 250 Hz (HPF), with individual IN/OUT switches.
The equaliser section provides +/- 15dB in four overlapping bands; LF 30 Hz to 400 Hz, MF1 250Hz to 2,500 Hz, MF2 600Hz to 8 kHz and HF 1,200 Hz to 15kHz. the HF and LF bands may be peaking or shelving; the two MF bands have a switched 'high Q' option.
The unit is mains powered, with XLR input and output..
