Humbug / Jitterbug
Audio Specifications
Humbug and Jitterbug Control Software
Version 3.1.0.1 is now available for download.
New features are:
- Humbug Channel status window now includes the latest AES-3 definitions, and allow extended Frequency bytes to be loaded.
- Humbug Bit mode control allows direct input of samples in Integer, Fractional and 8.16 modes. These correspond to common DSP representations of signals.
- Jitterbug channel status window now interprets the latest AES-3 definitions, to the best of our ability!
- Jitterbug channel status text was incorrect for some right hand characters; this has been fixed.
- Jitterbug Data sample display now enables the samples to be interpreted in Integer, Fractional and 8.16 modes. These correspond to the Humbug formats, and to common DSP representations of signals.
- Interested parties are invited to download the software to see what it does. The software has a demo mode, so you can see how it works, but is not a lot of use without the Humbug and Jitterbug units!
Existing users can simply replace the existing Humjitbug.exe with the new one. All existing settings will be retained.
Installation Instructions
New users should obey the Microsoft installation program. The following files are required:
- Humjitbug.exe which can go in its own directory.
- Humbug.pdf, Jitterbug.pdf and Humjitsoftware.pdf which should reside in the same directory as the exe file.
- The program uses the following .OCX files, which normally live in Program files, but can be manually copied to the humjitbug directory.
- MSWINSCK.OCX
COMCTL32.OCX
TABCTL32.OCX
MSFLXGRD.OCX
MSCOMM32.OCX
RICHTX32.OCX
mscomctl.ocx
comdlg32.ocx
It is advisable to make a copy of 'oleaut32.dll' before installing the software, as several versions exist, and Norton doesn't like some of them.
All files are wrapped up in one file 'humjitbug.cab'. There is also the installation program ' setup.exe' and ' setup.lst' present. All of these are zipped up in one file ' humjitbug.zip'.
